Heavy Smoke BBQ was founded on a passion for championship barbecue that began on the competition circuit in 2012. After earning our first Grand Championship in 2014, our team quickly established itself among the top pitmasters in the country, earning 40 Grand Championships and 30 Reserve Grand Championships in sanctioned BBQ competitions nationwide.

Our competition accomplishments include 3 World Championship titles: the KCBS World Invitational (2019), KCBS World Invitational Open (2021), and the prestigious Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational BBQ (2022). We’ve also earned World Championship category wins, including 1st Place Ribs at the KCBS Invitational (2025) and 1st Place Pork at the American Royal (2025).
